Kitakata is manufactured from gampi fibers which produce a semi-translucent paper with a subtle laid finish. The silky texture makes this sheet a favorite for printmaking, bookbinding and resoration. Sheets measure 16"× 20" (approximately 40.5cm× 51cm) with natural deckle edges and lightly sized. Weight is 30gsm.
