WELCOME TO INCLUSIVE ACCESS!
You have enrolled in a course that has chosen an Inclusive Access title. This means that your required course materials will be available the first day of class. For your convenience, you will be billed for your materials on your MyKU account. It’s that easy.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF INCLUSIVE ACCESS?
Inclusive Access is a collaboration between your professor, KU Campus Store, the Office of Student Accounts, the Office of Distance Education, and publishers to provide required course materials at a reduced cost. When your materials are part of this program, all students registered for the class automatically receive access to the materials.
HOW DO I ACCESS MY MATERIALS?
All Inclusive Access (IA) materials will be accessed through one of two ways. Some e-books are delivered in your D2L course. Some are accessed on the publisher website using codes. If an access code is needed, you may receive it one of three way, depending on the publisher. (1) It may be provided by your professor (2) in a link in your KU email from KU Campus Store, or (3) under the Content tab in D2L by clicking the Reveal Access Code button.
HOW DO I PAY FOR MY ACCESS?
You may have already paid for access when you paid other tuition and fees. Remember to check your MyKU account to be sure your materials have been paid for. If you added the course late you may still need to pay.
WHAT IF I DROP THE COURSE?
If you paid for materials and you dropped the class you will receive a refund on your MyKU account.
WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN INCLUSIVE ACCESS?
KU Campus Store has worked with the publisher to negotiate the lowest cost for your course materials. These materials are required by your instructor and are an integral part of the course. There may be added interactive courseware content that is designed to make the reading more engaging, which increases comprehension and retention of the material and can ultimately lead to greater academic success.
Please be advised that by choosing to opt out, your online content will be turned off and you may lose access to graded assignments (where applicable), as well as the lowest cost digital content available. Upon opting out, you will receive an email confirmation and you will not be billed.
Should you choose to opt out by the end of add/drop, visit select “opt out” in your email from KU Campus Store or under the Content tab in your D2L course. You will need to source the materials separately. KU Campus store is happy to offer print copies for interested in students.
